One more thing you should do/know
The best football writers today will be web savy, an expert on social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter; as well as be able to turn their hand to being in front of a camera, behind the camera, and able to speak at an interview. Make sure you have your own dictaphone, and know how to upload content onto the internet.
